What is Dashcast?
Every broadcast facility runs on web dashboards: monitoring, playout schedules, weather radar, social feeds, newsroom systems. Getting those pages onto the video wall, into the MCR multiviewer, or across an MATV system usually means a PC bolted behind every screen. Dashcast replaces all of that with a central service.
Dashcast renders each page in a real Chrome browser, encodes it as broadcast video, and transmits it over your existing IP video network. Any screen, decoder or multiviewer that can take an IP video feed can now show a live web page, with no hardware at the display end and nothing to maintain on the wall.
Real Browser Rendering
Full Chrome under the hood, so WebGL globes, video players, maps and single-page apps all render exactly as they do on a desktop.
Broadcast-Grade Output
True 1080i50 and 1080p50 (and more) as MPEG-TS over RTP multicast (SMPTE 2022-2) with optional forward error correction, plus SRT and RTMP for point-to-point and streaming workflows.
Channels and Carousels
Put one page on air or rotate a set of pages on a schedule, managed from a central web console with live thumbnails of every channel.
Automations
Scripted login flows, scrolling and page interactions keep dashboards signed in and moving without anyone touching them.
NMOS integration
Channels register in your AMWA IS-04 registry and take IS-05 connection management, so Dashcast outputs appear in your broadcast controller like any other sender.
A Fleet, Not a Box
Rendering engines scale out across commodity servers, with health monitoring, automatic failover and self-healing built in.
Built for Broadcasting
Dashcast is operated, not administered. Operators drag a source onto a destination and it is on air; engineers get an audit log of every on-air event, VNC access into any running browser for interactive fixes, and alerts when a channel needs attention. It runs on your infrastructure, on premises, with no
cloud dependency in the signal path.
Dashcast is developed and supported by Sol1 in Australia and is in production today at a major Australian broadcast facility, delivering monitoring and operational dashboards across the plant as multicast video.
